Bharati Vidyapeeth is a private deemed university established in Pune, India, in 1964 by Indian politician and educationist Patangrao Kadam. It has campuses across the country in New Delhi, Navi Mumbai, Sangli, Pune, Solapur, Kolhapur, Karad, Satara, and Panchgani. These campuses include institutions such as Bharati Vidyapeeth University Medical College, and schools for Dentistry, Ayurveda, Homeopathy, Nursing, Pharmacy, Engineering, Management, Hotel Management, Catering Technology, Environmental Science, and Agriculture. On April 26, 1996, the Government of India, on the recommendation of the University Grants Commission, conferred the status of “Deemed to be University” to a cluster of 12 Bharati Vidyapeeth institutions.
