The establishment of “Binod Bihari Mahto Koyalanchal University, Dhanbad” was formally announced by the Government of Jharkhand through a notification dated March 23, 2017, which was published as Gazette notification No. 216 (Extra Ordinary) on April 11, 2017. The foundation stone for the University Campus was ceremoniously laid on November 13, 2017, by the Chief Minister of Jharkhand, Sri. Raghubar Das.
The university comprises 10 Constituent colleges, 18 Affiliated colleges, 25 B.Ed. colleges, 2 Engineering colleges, 2 Law colleges, and 1 Medical College, spread across Dhanbad and Bokaro districts of Jharkhand, with its headquarters located in Dhanbad.
Transcripts from BBMKU contain the marks of each subject from the first to last semester. This is then placed in an envelope which is sealed and stamped/signed across the back-flap.
