In the academic session of 1981-82, the Government of India bestowed upon DAYALBAGH EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTE the status of a Deemed University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956. Subsequently, the institute became a member of the Association of Indian Universities. Its faculties encompass Arts, Commerce, Education, Engineering, Science, and Social Sciences. Over time, the institute has expanded its purview, incorporating entities such as the DEI Technical College, an engineering institution offering diploma-level programs since 1986-87, the DEI Prem Vidyalaya Girls’ Intermediate College established in 1995-96, and the REI Intermediate College under its academic and administrative umbrella since 2012-13.
