Delhi Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research University (DPSRU) holds the distinction of being India’s inaugural Pharmacy University and the third globally. Established under Act 07 of 2008 by the State legislature of Delhi, it commenced operations in 2015. Recognized as a 100% grant-in-aid State Government University under sections 2f and 22 of the UGC, DPSRU boasts a legacy spanning 57 years. Its journey began with the introduction of the D. Pharm. program at a polytechnic in 1964, evolving into the College of Pharmacy in 1972 and later transforming into the Delhi Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research (DIPSAR) in 2004.
