The name of Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences in Andhra Pradesh has been officially changed to “Dr. YSR University of Health Sciences” through an amendment to sub-section 2 of section 1 of the Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences (Amendment) Act, 2022. By virtue of the powers vested in it under sub-section (2) of Section 1 of the Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences (Amendment) Act, 2022 (Act No. 19 of 2022), the Government of Andhra Pradesh has directed that the change in name shall take effect from October 31, 2022.
