Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee University (DSPMU), established in 2018 under the RUSA Programme by upgrading the erstwhile Ranchi, has a rich legacy dating back almost 185 years to 1839.
Initially founded as the Government English School through the efforts of Major J.R. Ousley, the British Commissioner of Chhota Nagpur, the institution has undergone several transformations over the years. It began its journey as Ranchi Zila School in 1875, eventually progressing to offer intermediate courses in Arts under Patna University by 1926.
Transcripts from DSPMU contain the marks of each subject from the first to last semester. This is then placed in an envelope which is sealed and stamped/signed across the back-flap.
