The Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (KVASU) was established on June 14, 2010, under Ordinance number 44/2010 and subsequently through Act 3/2011 by the Government of Kerala. Its inception reflects the dedicated efforts and long-standing aspirations of numerous individuals who began laying the groundwork since the mid-nineties. This initiative arose from the recognition of the imperative to advance activities in the animal production sector and to enhance academic opportunities, applied research, and entrepreneurship in animal health, production, and related disciplines.
As a publicly funded institution, KVASU is headquartered in Pookode, Wayanad. The authority of the University is vested in its governing bodies—the Management Council and the Board of Management.
Transcripts from KVASU contain the marks of each subject from the first to last semester. This is then placed in an envelope which is sealed and stamped/signed across the back-flap.
