NIIT University, also known as NU, is a private institution established in 2009. Situated in Neemrana, Rajasthan, India, it was founded by Mr. Rajendra Singh Pawar, who serves as the Chairman of NIIT Ltd and NIIT Technologies Ltd.
The university came into existence through an Ordinance of the Government of Rajasthan on October 13, 2009. Subsequently, it was officially recognized as per Rajasthan Gazette Notification No. F.(11) Vidhi/2/2010, under THE NIIT UNIVERSITY, NEEMRANA (ALWAR) ACT, 2010 (Act No. 5 of 2010) on April 4, 2010.
