The University of Jammu, commonly referred to as Jammu University (JU), holds an esteemed A+ grade accreditation by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). Established in 1969 by an act of the state legislature, it emerged as a separate entity from the erstwhile Jammu and Kashmir University.
