Founded in 1917 by Bharat Ratna Sir M. Visvesvaraya, the University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering (UVCE) began its journey as the Government Engineering College. It proudly holds the distinction of being the fifth engineering college established in India and the first in Karnataka.
