Established in 1887, Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute (VJTI), formerly known as the Victoria Jubilee Technical Institute, is a publicly funded college situated in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. On January 26, 1997, it officially adopted its current name. Affiliated with the University of Mumbai, VJTI operates autonomously both academically and administratively, receiving financial backing from the Government of Maharashtra.
In 2004, VJTI attained academic and administrative autonomy, operating under the governance of a board of governors.
